We are an Acts 1:8 church because our mission focus embraces our Jerusalem, Lincoln County; our Judea, the state of North Carolina; our Samaria, the U.S.A. and Canada, and the ends of the earth. New mission journeys and projects are always being planned by our Missions Committee to reach those around the world that don’t know Jesus Christ and his message of hope and salvation.
Whether you are thinking about going on a one week mission journey in North America or traveling for an extended journey to another country, the process is the same for all. We must first understand that God has called each of us to live our lives on-mission. The next step is to respond with a willingness to be used of God which may mean going wherever He chooses to send you. It is with a willing heart that God makes His specific plans for us clear. The whole process then comes down to a matter of obedience.
If you’ve not yet participated in a mission trip, you are encouraged to prayerfully consider changing your Great Commission status within the next year. Our goal is that everyone at DBC become obedient to the Great Commission calling on their life. The question is not IF but WHERE. Our Mission Committee is already planning a number of mission journeys for you. Whether we’re participating in Operation in as Much in our community, traveling to Washington DC or Greenville, SC to help with a new church plant, ministering to children in Kentucky, or working with IMB missionaries in Argentina, we are called by our King to make a difference.

Pastor David and Denver Baptist Church, Thank you for participating in our 2011 Walk for Life, “Equally Unique”. Your congregation raised $1998.00!!! Our total raised as of today is $16,410.00. This is the most funds ever raised at our Walk for Life and we PRAISE God for every penny. The Lord has truly blessed this ministry with congregations that are not afraid of the Gospel and will stand together with other Christians to say, “We believe Life is Sacred”. Attached are pictures of your group. Please circulate these pictures as a way to say thank you to those who walked and those who donated. Feel free to publish these pictures on your website or in your newsletters and keep the date, September 8th, 2012 on your calendar for next year’s walk! Again, thank you for your continued support as this ministry administers the hope of Christ to women facing a crisis pregnancy. Together, we can make a difference in the life of a child.
