Beginning Sunday Feb. 11th from 6:30 – 8pm we will be beginning a new series with high school students and parents/adults on Counter Culture by David Platt. This series will be led by myself and Patrick Lowman. We will have some snacks and desserts available as well as child care! Our time together will involve worship, intro into the topic of the evening, short video teaching by David Platt, and small group discussion. I believe these are very important issues we as Christians need to know about because the world is full of injustice and we are often quick to defend social issues that are popular such as serving the poor, orphaned, and enslaved. But there are other issues of morality shaping our culture that are more costly and unpopular for us to combat such as persecution, abortion, and same-sex marriage. The gospel compels us to stand firm on the truth of God’s Word and approach every issue with compassion and grace. This 6-session video-enhanced Bible study will challenge students & parents to fix their eyes on the glory of God and to counter the culture in a way that points people to Jesus. Come join us! It’s FREE but we would like for you to register so we can be prepared with supplemental materials.
