After School Ministry

REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

FOR 2020/2021 SCHOOL YEAR!

Our ministry goal for after-school care at Denver Baptist Church is to help and encourage working families by providing a safe, fun, and productive, Gospel-centered environment. Lead by well-experienced, thoughtful adults, your children receive care as valued individuals, created in the image of God–and therefore, precious!

A time to unwind and some enjoyable snacks await your child shortly after they arrive. After being fed, we take the time to learn God’s Word and pray together. Homework is also a priority. We feel that through the help and accountability we provide, students will succeed, and families will enjoy more time together when the workday is over. Supervised computer and tablet time (with parental controls) is available for students’ homework and educational games.

We love to spend time outdoors, so the kids get plenty of exercise on our playground and field. On rainy days, the energy of all the kids gets spent in the gym playing games. We feel friendships, confidence, and good sportsmanship grow through organized sports, imaginative play, and artistic activities. When problems occur between children, and eventually they will, we apply biblical principles to settle conflicts.

Our director, John Fitzpatrick, and his wife Mia are now starting their 7th year here at Denver Baptist After-School Care. They bring many years of experience working with youth as home educators and also in student/children’s ministry in the Denver area.

Most of our dedicated staff have well over a decade of experience in child care. Full-time tuition and part-time are available to the following schools: Rock Springs, St. James, Pumpkin Center, Catawba Center, and West Lake Charter. The cost is reasonable ($70 a week for full-time student), and we offer significant discounts for additional siblings. Also, when schools close for teacher workdays, our doors open at 7:00 am (for an additional cost). Count on peace of mind for parents and amusing times for kids.
