Our ministry goal for after-school care at Denver Baptist Church is to encourage working families by providing a safe, fun, productive, Gospel-centered environment. Lead by well-experienced, thoughtful adults, your children receive care as valued individuals, created in the image of God--and therefore, precious!
A time to unwind and some enjoyable snacks await your child shortly after they arrive. After being fed, we take the time to learn God’s Word and pray together. Homework is also a priority. Our students will enjoy more family time when their assignments get done before they go home. Supervised computer and tablet time (with parental controls) is available for students’ schoolwork and educational games.
We love to spend time outdoors, so the kids get plenty of exercise on our playground and field. On rainy days, the energy of all the kids gets spent in the gym playing games. We feel friendships, confidence, and good sportsmanship grow through organized sports, imaginative play, and artistic activities. When problems occur between children, and eventually they will, we apply biblical principles to settle conflicts and make things right.
Our director, John Fitzpatrick, and his wife Mia are now starting their 9th year here at Denver Baptist After-School Care. They bring many years of experience working with youth as home educators and in student/children’s ministry in the Denver area. Most of our dedicated staff have many years of experience in child care.
Full-time and part-time tuition are available! We accept students from Kindergarten through 5th grade from Rock Springs, Pumpkin Center, St. James, Westlake Prep, and Catawba Springs! (There are limited spots for every school except for Rock Springs at this time.)
When schools close for teacher workdays, our doors will open at 8:00 am (for 4-5 days/week students).
